When entering values in the Selection Value section for an Alert Report you will not need to enter quotes around the values. The program will enter the quotes around the values that as needed.

For example, if the alert value is Smith for the Selection value you can just enter the word Smith with no additional single or double quotes.

The example below is using the LIKE operator with a value of L* to select all Last Names that begin with L. Again no quotes are added to the selection value.
